In one of my first blog posts, No Nonsense Advice on Starting a Classic Car side Biz, I said that any business idea is 100% cooler with a classic car. And I stand by that point.
Disclaimer: I mean skint here as in "don't have any spare cash" as opposed to, you know, homeless.
It's an old cliche that as a country we're very bad at negotiating, maybe that's why we're "a nation of shopkeepers"? (True story: my friend once tried to haggle the price of a fridge for me in Currys. The shop assistant told him she'd be right back and then literally went and stood awkwardly down a different aisle to avoid him. Harsh!) But running a business you quickly realise that practically everything IS negotiable and if you don't make the move you could be losing out.
Pretty much any business idea you come up with can be made 100% cooler with a classic car. I can immediately think of at least five classic car incorporated business ideas that would still work without the classic car element, for example:
